There is always a fun sense of conspiracy when the dancer arrives in street clothes, carrying a garment bag. Party guests are quick to assist... keeping tabs on the birthday boy/girl... inventing distractions...trying to sneak a preview of the dancer. The music is given to the DJ or put into the sound system. Then there is that moment of apprehension. That special birthday person is asked to sit in a chair, surrounded by friends and family... knowing something is about to happen... And the music starts...the anticipation grows...and then from down the stairs or out of another room comes the dancer...
and the room explodes with energy...
And whether that person blushes, or jumps up to dance...there is always a smile.
